Jump Me, Chapter Five
October 18th, 2006 11:32 pmYa'll make me giggle, you really do! I adore it when everyone talks back and forth to each other in the comment section! It's like, we're TOGETHER, only not like THAT....

Tonight, what we've all been waiting for....

Chapter Five
He found the light blue Cutlass right where she’d said it would be. That pleased him, since he liked a girl who paid attention to details. You could tell a lot about people by the way they gave directions. She’d even had the good sense to back the car in to the tuck-under garage to make it easier to jump-start it, if the need arose. He really liked that.
He popped open the door and climbed out, surveying the apartment complex. Nice place, lots of young people around. A flash of motion caught his sharp eye. He glanced up at the building, noting the slats of one of the blinds drop in the apartment there on the right.
She was watching for him. She also didn’t want him to know.
He chuckled to himself and headed up the steps to knock.
He found it amusing that she waited behind the door, counting to ten before cracking it open. He knew she did this because his fine elven hearing picked up the sound of her heartbeat and the whisper of her lips as she mouthed the numbers. When she opened the door, he found his own breath had escaped him.
She was... was... wonderful was the only word that came to mind.
She was wearing a bright rusty-orange blouse made of cotton/spandex and just a tad clingy to give him a tiny suggestion of cleavage at the top of the v-neck, a pair of stretchy bootcut blue jeans, and some clunky black shoes. Her brown hair had just a touch of sunlit streaks in it, and it hung loosely, just brushing her shoulders. He watched in fascination as she reached with her hand to idly tuck it back behind her right ear.
Legolas thought she might be the most beautiful thing he’d ever laid eyes on.
